Level of Instruction
     This class was intended for upperclassmen engineering undergraduates.  Prerequisite courses in Fluid Mechanics, Hydraulics, and Structural Mechanics are recommended.

Draft chapters from Hurricane Engineering:  Planning, Analysis, Design, Response, and Recovery of Civil Engineering Systems, being written LSU Civil Engineering faculty.

Several FEMA publications on design for flood resistant construction will be used as references.  FEMA publications are available by calling FEMA’s Distribution Center at 1-800-480-2520.
